Bihar Government Announces Recruitment for 21,000 Police Posts Ahead of Elections


 In a significant move ahead of the upcoming elections, the Bihar government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has announced a major recruitment drive to bolster the state's police force.

Recruitment Details

  • Total Vacancies: The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC) has initiated the recruitment process for 19,838 constable positions in Bihar Police and Bihar Special Armed Police.
  • Application Period: The online application process commenced on March 18, 2025, and will conclude on April 18, 2025.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed the Class 12 or Intermediate examination or possess an equivalent qualification by April 18, 2025.

Government's Commitment to Strengthening Law Enforcement

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has emphasized the state's commitment to enhancing public safety by increasing the police force's strength. In a recent address, he directed officials to expedite the recruitment process to fill the existing vacancies promptly.

Application Process

Interested candidates can apply online through the official CSBC website. The selection process includes a written examination followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
